DEPARTMENT OF MARKETING AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP

About department
The Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship has existed since 2002. At the beginning it was led by prof. Tadeusz Popławski as the Faculty of Marketing. In 1998 Marketing and Enterpreneurship Department was founded with its manager prof. Czesław Sikorski. In 1999 prof. Stanisław Jurewicz  became a new manager of the Department. In 2000 the name of the Department changed into Marketing and Enterpreneurship Department and prof. Popławski became its manager.
Nowadays the Department employs 12 people (two independent researchers, nine lecturers and two assistants).

Prof. Wiesław Tadeusz Poplawski - management of statut researches in Chair of Marketing and Enterpreneurship at the Faculty of Management in Bialystok University of Technology, projects of transborder cooperation, studies on social capital in peripheric, transborder regions in EU, prararation of edition 2 publications - one  concerning of innovations at the eastern border region  and another one concerning of cooperatives in Poland,  organisation of 5 international conferences (4 about innovations and 1 about polish  cooperatives), lectures in Lithuania in the framework of Erasmus porgramme (International Marketing).

Dr Ewa Glińska is a researcher in the Chair of Marketing at the Management Faculty of Bialystok University of Technology, Poland. Her scientific interests focus mainly on the place branding, place marketing and foresight in cities planning. She is an author or a co-author of 100 publications related to territorial marketing and city management.

Dr Tadeusz Kowalewski PhD, doctor of the humanistic sciences in the scope of sociology of John Paul’s II Catholic University of Lublin, research interests: sociology of education, long – live learning; a participant of the RENCOM project (facilitating regional processes in a competitive environment: regional social – economic and cultural development in both of three accession countries and member states), a participant of Regional Strategies, expert in international project: The Euro- Region Niemen.

Dr Katarzyna Krot is researcher, scientific interests: quality, healthcare management, doctor-patient trust, management of organizational trust;  She is an author of more than 70 papers and presenter on international conferences

Dr Urszula Widelska - the research interests are concerned the processes of building relationships with customers, mainly in the field of B2B relationships. The main subject of the study are the companies of Podlasie Provinve.

Marcin Jurewicz – PhD, adjunct; research work: legal aspects of nanotechnology, civil law, business law; Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of High Pressure Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (August 26th – September 30th, 2013);

Dr Jarosław Zalejski - PhD, adjunct; Chairman of the City Council in Wasilkow (2011); research interests: the use of promotional activities on the market companies and institutions, theory and practice of advertising, management of local government units.

Mgr Ewelina Muszyńska assistant; research interests focus on marketing especially place marketing, the place brand identity and image, public management. Other research interests include promotion mix and marketing research.
